Let's Throw A Black Light Party!

Let's get started planning your glowing Black Light Party. The party should be glowing from beginning to end with your invites, favors, and decorations. The good news is that we have all of the items and ideas that you will need right here at Party Express.

Start with the Invitations

You will need to get everyone thinking black light the minute that they receive your invitation. Be sure to mention on the invite for everyone to dress appropriately. Give them some ideas on what to wear to look the best for the evening. Some ideas might include wearing neon or white clothing. Decorate Your Party Space in Neon, Black & White

Pretty much all neon colors and white will glow under a black light, so pick your decorations accordingly. This will give you the best effect at your black light New Year Party. You will need to completely overwhelm your guests with black light party supplies when they walk in the door. So be sure to select the right New Year's Eve banner. Select some really nice whirls to hang from the ceiling to make the entire space glow in the dark under your black lights.

How to Make A Balloon Glow

A really fun and creative idea for your black light party is to make all of your balloons light up and glow. This is very simple to do. Simply pick up some of our glow sticks and put them inside any of our latex balloons. The crystal balloons will work the best because you will be able to see right inside them.

Some great ideas for your now glowing balloons is to make centerpieces for each table, or you can fill them all with helium and just let them float all over the ceiling. When your guests look up it will look like there are floating orbs all over the ceiling. You can also decorate you buffet table by putting glow in the dark balloon centerpieces in different locations of the table. If you have a DJ decorate the DJ Booth by hanging your glowing orbs on the speakers and on either side of the DJ.

Get Creative With Highlighters

Guess what! Highlighters glow under a Black Light! This is a great opportunity to get creative, or let your guests get creative when they get to your party! Set highlighters all over the place. Put them on the tables, in the bathrooms, and in random places in your event space. Get a lot of yellow and orange highlighters, they glow the best! You will be amazed at what your guests do with them. They are sure to be drawing on themselves, each other, and if you plan your black light party right on the party decorations that they can customize.

Hang up some black craft paper on the wall when your guests come in and let that be your guest list. The party goers can sign their name on the black wall and let everyone know that are there. You can also put down some basic table covers and let your guests have fun at their tables. This is a great ice breaker for the evening as they are checking our each other's glowing artwork.
